Role Description:
The candidate will have a role blended with autosys scheduling and administration tasks. The primary focus of the role is to assist upgrading and designing PeopleSoft from 9.0 to 9.2 for autosys jobs streams and the secondary focus is assisting the current resources with daily support of production and non-production environments.
Role Responsibilities
This specification is intended to indicate the basic nature of the role, and examples of typical duties that may be assigned.
- Identify and implement enhanced features of the Autosys 11.x and related workload automation products
- Primary SME for AutoSys/PeopleSoft jobs, JIL definitions, scheduling, calendars, resources, machines, variables and plugins
- Presentation and implementation of best practice policies and standards
- Participate in project related activities
- Coordinate the transfer of jobs to the production Autosys environment and migration practices
- Support calls for production and non-production environments
- Escalate to team members and/or management reoccurring problems and risks
- Execute manual tasks/procedures on a scheduled basis
- Offer ideas and suggestions on improving the quality of current and proposed job streams
- Manage multiple tasks with strong discipline to time lines
- The candidate must be flexible in terms of working practices as the role requires occasional evening, weekend and company holiday work
- Direct contacts with the business users and follow up problems with them to ensure problem resolution and ensure appropriate feedback
- Proactively seek out and repair system inconsistencies as well as provide trouble-shooting assistance and solutions for problems
- Develop where needed and implement tools to maintain, monitor and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure, automating where applicable
- Create and maintain documentation for training and troubleshooting
- Maintain application security implementation and audit compliance
- Documentation of current systems requirements and changes
- Understanding currently used and available job types
- Work with other team members on requests priorities and training
Qualifications:
- Required: At least 5 years in an operations production and job scheduling environment
- Required: Expert knowledge creating, supporting and removing Autosys (AE, WCC, EEM) R 11.3.5 or later, JIL definitions, scheduling, calendars, resources, machines, variables and plugins
- Required: Strong knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, SQL Server 2008, SQL query knowledge, CA ticket process, Service now
- Required: Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Required: Ability to independently perform job duties
- Required: Strong analytical and multitasking mindset
- Preferred: Knowledge of IDASH 11.4 and Arbiter ACCE 2.5
- Required: Understanding of writing JILs, stored procedures and triggers used for autosys job processing
- Required: Extensive experience with the support of on and offshore support teams and customers
- Required: Support of development/non-production and production environments for mid-sized company
Disired: Experience with Arbiter Change Control Expert migration tool and processes.
Preferred: Knowledge and experience with file transfer processing (axway) and the relationship with job processing
- Desirable: Hands-on experience with Service Now Change, Incident and Problem modules
- Desirable: Enterprise Monitoring Systems working knowledge
- Desirable: Prior work with disaster recovery planning, documentation and participate in execution drills/activities as it relates of job streams and scheduling
- Desirable: Ticketing systems standards, PING, Tracert, RDP, SQL Server database and SQL Statements
- Desired: Knowledge of security standards
- Desired: Basic knowledge of scriptingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
