-Works as a team member to plan, coordinate, and carry out all of the day to day clerical and administrative support activities which are required to accomplish the work of the office.-Responsible for recognizing the need for and coordinating the administrative and clerical work of the office with the work of other offices or divisions.-Prepares a variety of materials in formal form such as letters, reports, tabulated data, and memoranda ensuring appropriate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.-Makes travel arrangements for staff. Schedules travel and makes transportation and lodging reservations. Prepares travel requests and travel vouchers.-Designs, organizes, and maintains the office's filing system. Searches for and obtains information in files on request.-Maintains records of leave and attendance for office personnel, maintains cost authorities and reconciles charges.-Obtains and monitors a full range of office support services. Requisitions office supplies, equipment, and publications; repairs on equipment; maintenance; and other services required by the office. Specialized Experience for GS-06:
Your resume must reflect one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal Service, receiving, screening, referring visitor/phone calls, preparing travel arrangements, independently providing clerical support, maintaining files and records, following up on action items and editing correspondence.QUALIFIED TYPIST:
This position requires a qualified typist. You must be able to type 40 words per minute.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
